On the 4 November 2018, Unley Old Scholars FC held its’ 20th Annual General Meeting with our Major Sponsor, Torrens Arms Hotel.
Firstly, for those who were unable to attend this year’s AGM, the newly formed Executive Committee members are;
- Roshan Wilson – President
- Alessandro Gramazio – Vice-President
- Peter Akakios – Treasurer
- Warwick Deller-Coomb – Secretary
- Ari Kolovos – Associate
- James Polacek – Associate
- Richard Hopkins – Associate
- Ryan Griffiths – Associate
- Spiro Athanasopoulos – Associate
- Thomas Theodoulou – Associate
- Tristan Owen – Associate
- Will Longshaw – Associate
This is the highest (and maximum under the Clubs’ constitution) Committee membership in Club history. I would like to thank the above members for joining the Committee and volunteering their time and service. It’s great to see such a diverse range of members committed to ensure the Club continues to grow and succeed. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Matt Mays and Ryan Ingram for their time and service on the Committee over the years.
During the meeting, I provided members with a review of the Clubs on and off field performances, a finance summary as well as an overview of some of the goals that the new Committee will be aiming to achieve (more details to follow in the coming months).
This year, members also unanimously voted Kym Fischer as a Life Member. Kym is the second non-player to be welcomed as a Life Member who has volunteered his time for many years. This includes supporting the Club for 16 years, six years on the Executive Committee, contributing towards fundraising events as well as creating and maintaining our website. Kym was shocked and honoured by the induction when I contacted him to congratulate him on behalf of the Club.
Finally, with many changes and challenges ahead for the Club, the newly formed Committee will be working hard to prepare for season 2019. The work during the off-season will once again include securing sponsors and appointing coaches as well as scheduling preseason and next year’s social events. More information will be communicated to members in the coming months.
In the meantime, enjoy your break, travel safely and stay tuned for Ranger news over the summer.
