The Rangers are fortunate enough to have three FFSA personnel at the Club who play various roles and provide valuable advice to ensure our Club heads in the right direction – one of those being Ryan Griffiths. As the State Manager for Referee Development, no doubt he receives a lot of heated phone calls and emails on a weekly basis. Regardless of this, Ryan continues to conduct himself professionally and enjoys the challenges.
Ryan adapts the same positive attitude with the Rangers. Whether it’s coaching, playing, managing squads or committee work – Ryan goes about it diligently.
Joining us in 2016 after moving from the UK, he found his way between the sticks over the years. Goalkeeping is a tough gig at the best of times. Keepers often burden themselves with extra pressure being the last line of defence to keep the team in the game. Ryan has always worn the Ranger badge with pride and puts in 100 percent during a match (sometimes putting his hand up to play back to back games irrespective of the results from the previous match). That’s leadership and hard work – setting an example for the people around him.
The Club (and League) are very lucky to have a bloke like Ryan. Go well on Saturday for your 50th game mate!
Come on you Rangers!
